WILLIAM WHITE
About
I studied at Glasgow School of Art getting a 1st class BA-hons in product design.
After graduating, I co-founded One Foot Taller, an award winning design consultancy based in Glasgow, making finished products to sell, as well as prototypes for manufacturing.
From One Foot Taller I moved to Dyson Ltd to develop my engineering and creative skills. Here I designed products that are now sold all over the world. As Head of Product Innovation, although I was responsible for a very innovative team my management responsibilities took me further away from hands on design processes. However, I started to use my creative skills in making jewellery and art. I formalised these passions by studying jewellery and print making at Bath City College.
I left England to follow my girlfriend to Ireland and now I am a full time jeweller and artist with a jewellery workshop and studio in Hillsborough, Co Down. I am member of the Craft Design Collective, NI and the Belfast Print Workshop.
