I’m pretty excited to be able to make jewelry for people, even though I worked in the jewelry business and I make jewelry for strangers that don’t give a crap who I am. Making jewelry for individuals terrifies the living bejesus out of me!
One thing is designing for a company and hopefully getting your work out there, but making something for someone in specific, is more personal, and you want to make sure they like it, the quality is great and they’ll love it for a long time!
Couple of months ago I got an email from somebody that saw my jewelry at a photo shoot I did for a friend, and she loved the necklace so much, she asked me to do it for her! I made it for her and she liked it so much that she asked me for another piece. I’m very excited about this, because I’ve been doing jewelry for a long time, but never got a “regular” customer (again, not that I’m bad, but i’m mostly my own customer).. what you think??
