ISABEL DAMMERMANN
ABOUT:
I collect materials and objects, impressions and experiences, the conscious and unconscious and let them communicate. They align in order to separate again, coming together in new forms. A kind of polarity. Adduction and Rejection. The intuition takes the concealed possibilities which lie in the things. It is an attempt to bring things and emotions to the phenomenon that surrounds us all. Nothing is without reverence.
-The Imagination is one of the highest prerogatives of man. By this faculty he unites, independently of the will, former images and ideas, and thus creates brilliant and novel results. - (Darwin)
Every viewer generates his own fiction. He produces a connection between the piece and his own imaginary world. Subjective points of view, emphasizes different meaning levels. One sees what one sees. Fragility, pain, beauty, strength, tension, desperation, love, confusion, boredom, fascination. One experiences and feels a tension between emotion and rationality. It opens a fictional access to reality. I see in my work a metaphorical view of the world.
And at the end of a statement, turns out over and over again, that language is no instrument of truth. (Precht)
