Shahla Kareen is an emerging artist, designer and Founder of the brilliant fine jewelry line, Ludevine.Her conceptual expressions are precisely seen in all the mediums she choses, be it her paintings, sculptures, jewelry or written words. For Shahla each creation has a specific intention, a life message which she hopes to transmit to the receiver. And each of her pieces is a shrine and an exultation to elements which move her in her core. Within her jewelry line, Ludevine’s ‘Primitive’ collection,
life and death are equally celebrated. An ode to rebirth and resurrection with the understanding that things die one way or another, whether animal or fashion trend. She utilizes the mystical sea horse in combination with the ammonite fossil, and lovingly wraps them in sparkling diamonds and solid gold to pay hommage to nature’s exquisite marvels.Born in Canada and currently based in Los Angeles, Shahla Kareen does all her work from her artist studio in Los Feliz. She is self taught and has found her unique style through exploration and experimentation. She’s been know to say - “Perfection is subjective. To me it is in the flaws and the magnificent accidents that the best in life is born.”
