O-shan urban elegance was founded Shelley Leemor,
who graduated with honors from” The Bezalel Academy of Art and Design” in 2003.
she atteded “Sydney College of the Arts”in Australia in 2002, where surfing became part of her life.
in persuit of her new passion, she moved to costa rica after graduating ,
living and creating in her beachfront studio.
Shelley returned to Tel Aviv in 2005 and created O-shan urban elegance.
she went on to become the Israeli surf champion for that year.
In 2006 she was certified as a bikram yoga instructor, which she practices and teaches regularly since.
The name “O-shan urban elegance” stands at the base of the concept of the brand.
O-shan ,derived from japanese for ocean, signifies the influence and inspiration derived from the stunning shapes of the natrual world. The urban shapes, geometrical structures, colors and tempo of the metropolis life are also incorporated into the designs of each piece.
The designs explore the duality of the natural world by embracing imperfections
and playing upon opposites-
Glamorous and gritty, dark and luminous, structured and organic.
It is young and powerful, in the same moment delicate and poetic,
Minimalistic and quiet with clean geometrical shapes.
All designs are made in small editions, carefully hand crafted,
with attention to the smallest details, hence making the jewel a rare
and unique object.
