Marina Molinelli Wells
1972, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Trained as an Industrial designer MMW is fully dedicated to the design and production of contemporary jewellery collections. Studied at La Nave Studio with Jorge Castañon, she discovered jewellery while studying industrial design at the University of Buenos Aires.

Still designing for customers and other designers, she worked for several fashion brands and independent designers and has been a professor at FADU, UBA University of Buenos Aires, Industrial design course. Since 2004 she coordinates Metalisteria, contemporary jewellery on-line gallery with Francisca Kweitel. Since 2006 she works on Osea project with Celina Saubidet.

Her work is mostly hand made, combining metals with other materials like leather, acrylic, tubes or chains according to the needs of each collection. Pieces always suggest a dialogue between subject and objetct- sometimes due to the different posibilities of use also when not in use, being objects themselves. Working in precious metals, pieces are hand made and unique within the series. The series are limited.

She has participated in many workshops and museum exhibitions nationally and internationally: Argentina, France, England, Italy, China, Mexico and the United States and her work has been published in national and international publications.

She lives and works in Buenos Aires.
