UK Jewellery Awards 2011 ‘New Jewellery Designer of the Year’ award winner Katie Rowland designs luxury jewellery for women who know what they want and know how to get it.
Katie studied jewellery at Central St. Martins after graduating in Graphic Design from Kingston University. Since launching her brand, she has been named in the industries ‘Hot 100’ list, compiled by ‘The Professional Jeweller’, awarded the ‘Lonmins Design Innovation Award for Platinum’, as well as receiving the ‘Coutts New Jeweller Award’. Rowland has consulted for numerous brands, has shot with top UK photographer, Rankin, and designed for the film CoverGirl, starring Megan Fox, which is due for release this year.
Creating jewellery described as having ‘elegance with edge’, raw and weaponistic, Katie’s jewellery sits perfectly within the modern women’s wardrobe. Rowland draws her inspiration from powerful female characters in history and myth to offer collections of escapism and opulent pleasure, designed to be lust after. Renowned for only using precious materials, Katie Rowland is synonymous for her intricate designs, exquisite use of precious stones and metals, combined with dangerous femme fatale seductiveness.
