Loulou de la Falaise Dies at 63

PARIS - Loulou de la Falaise, a designer best known for her long collaboration with the late Yves Saint Laurent, has died at age 63 after “a long illness,” a spokeswoman at the Fondation Pierre Berge-Yves Saint Laurent confirmed.

With an inimitable flare for combining colors and touches of exoticism, De la Falaise created jewelry and accessories for Saint Laurent for decades.

Following his retirement from fashion, she launched a signature label, recently concentrated on costume jewelry, and also collaborated with New York-based designer Oscar de la Renta.
