Sometimes, for no apparent reason, I doubt myself about my blog. I wonder if I’m doing a good job, if I’ve touched someone with my posts, or what can I do to make it better! I imagine lots of you think the same way. And then, one day, you meet a person who validates what you are doing.
Last year, when I was doing my “le tour of Hudson NY” with hubby, I mentioned that I visited a couple of great places, especially a store that just opened called Bavier Brook. There, I met Jessica, a lovely woman with an amazing eye for vintage jewelry. We talked for a while and I told her about my blog.
Yesterday, I went back to Hudson (if you haven’t been there, I urge you to go) and of course, I have to visit Jessica and gasp about her beautiful pieces on display! I was certain she would not remember me, it’s been a while. When I walked into the store, she greeted me and the first thing that came out of her mouth was “a thousand facets”….!this completely surprised me! She mentioned how much she appreciates the work that I post and how it inspires her and how she and her husband look at it from time to time.!..this just completely flattered me and made me feel that what I do is all worth it!
